Save this crew for next week
The $29 plan stores your classifications, wage determination rates and crew, so week two is a check-and-export instead of a retype. Your work on this form stays in this browser either way — start by creating an account.
About this form
Form WH-347 is the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts weekly certified payroll statement. Contractors and subcontractors on federally funded or federally assisted construction above the threshold must submit it every week for every laborer and mechanic on the site, including apprentices and trainees. It carries hours worked each day, the rate paid, the fringe benefit credit, gross wages, deductions and net pay, plus a Statement of Compliance on the second page.
Two things get submissions rejected more than anything else: a fringe benefit shortfall, where the cash rate plus the fringe credit falls below the determination total, and an unregistered worker labeled as an apprentice. PayrollWarden checks both before you print.
See the field-by-field guide for what goes in each box.
PayrollWarden vs. the DOL online WH-347
The Department of Labor also offers an online fillable WH-347. We tested it (October 2026). It is a real tool: you type the crew, it does the per-worker gross math, and it builds the day columns from the week-ending date automatically. Two things it does not do, verified from the tool itself:
- It remembers nothing. There is no saved state — close the tab and the crew, classifications and rates are gone. Next week you retype all of it. Saving the crew week to week is exactly what the PayrollWarden plan is for.
- It checks nothing against the wage determination. It adds up what you typed; it does not flag a fringe shortfall, an unregistered apprentice paid below the journeyworker rate, or overtime under 1.5× the basic rate — the three mistakes that get certified payroll sent back. PayrollWarden checks those before you download.
Both tools end the same way: you save or print the form and submit it to the contracting agency yourself. Neither files it for you. If the DOL tool covers your week and you do not need memory or checks, use it — it is free and it is the source of the form.
